Job Overview
The Clin Data Spec will provide data management support to the Clinical Data Management team and help deliver quality data management activities according to project and customer requirements.
Depending on project requirements and experience, the candidate may also support specific data management functions or leadership activities under the supervision of a Data Operations Coordinator (DOC), Data Team Lead (DTL), or Functional Manager.
Key Responsibilities
The role may involve the following responsibilities:
- Serve as a Data Operations Coordinator (DOC) for selected clinical studies.
- Support central laboratory studies ranging from easy to moderately complex projects.
- Assist in specific data management functions such as data coding, database testing or database design.
- Provide backup support to a DOC or Data Team Lead when required.
- Conduct clinical data review activities.
- Write and resolve data clarifications.
- Support database audit activities.
- Develop and test clinical databases and edit specifications.
- Perform testing of programming related to clinical databases.
- Perform clinical data coding activities.
- Follow applicable operating procedures and work instructions.
- Meet assigned project objectives and timelines.
- Maintain effective communication with the Clinical Data Management team.
- Establish and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, managers and clients.
Qualification
Candidates should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Mathematical Sciences or a related field.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may also be considered in lieu of a degree.
