Job Summary
The Contract Specialist will support proposal development, budget preparation, contract development, pricing activities, and client negotiations. Key Responsibilities
Proposal Development
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Review and analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including study protocols and project synopses.
- Coordinate with relevant Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for proposal preparation.
- Support preparation and review of proposals and project budgets.
- Prepare and modify proposal documents based on SME and proposal management feedback.
- Manage the RFP process from receipt through final submission.
- Identify potential risks or barriers affecting proposal timelines.
- Develop appropriate strategies to mitigate proposal-related risks.
- Obtain third-party quotations when required.
- Ensure proposals and budgets align with client requirements and internal assumptions.
- Maintain proposal documentation and ensure information is accurately updated in internal systems.
- Support mapping of client bid grids.
Contract Development
Responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and finalize project budgets and contracts according to company SOPs and work instructions.
- Amend project budgets in collaboration with project and functional teams.
- Use internal tools and reports to make appropriate client budget amendments.
- Develop contract strategies and plans for obtaining client approval and signatures.
- Prepare accurate client deliverables within strict deadlines.
- Provide appropriate rationale for cost changes in client budget grids.
- Participate in relevant internal and client meetings.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead or facilitate client meetings related to pricing, contract terms, and negotiations when required.
