Job Description
The Supply and Logistics Specialist will support the Supply & Logistics Project Manager in developing and executing study-specific supply chain strategies for clinical trial supply and logistics projects.
The role involves sourcing and distribution planning, technical management, inventory forecasting, supply scheduling and coordination with internal teams, clinical teams, depots and third-party providers.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Work with the Supply & Logistics Project Manager to develop logistics concepts and solutions.
- Monitor study scope and progress to help ensure project timelines and budgets are maintained.
- Proactively communicate changes and project risks.
- Ensure study-specific management tools and documentation are in place.
- Manage resources assigned to clinical trial supply and logistics projects.
Financial Management
- Support Pass Thru Cost management.
- Monitor and report costs associated with internal service fees and external providers.
Operational Strategy and Management
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop clinical supply, sourcing and distribution strategies.
- Ensure required project documentation is maintained.
- Communicate with third-party providers and negotiate scope of work in coordination with procurement.
- Develop inventory plans based on strategy, quantities and forecasts.
- Develop supply schedules.
- Obtain study progress updates from clinical teams and make necessary adjustments.
- Provide supply-related feedback to depots.
Quality and Process Improvement
- Identify and initiate process improvement activities.
- Mentor Clinical Supply Specialists and Clinical Supply Assistants where applicable.

Educational Qualification
Candidates should have a B.A./B.S. or Master’s degree, or equivalent qualification such as Pharm.D., in one of the following areas:
